The Horrifying Door

 Our class focus for writing was about forming paragraphs. I learnt that a paragraph is a group of related sentences. I learned about the acronym TipTop. It stands for Time, Person, Topic and Place. The video that I watched really helped me. I learned that when I change the Time, Person, Topic and Place I need to start a new paragraph.

I am getting the idea but I will keep practicing.

         

                  THE ROOM!!

As I was pushing the door I could feel a slight touch, on my back. I was breathless. All I was thinking about was someone about to hurt me, I was about to faint. 

Suddenly I could hear for help, it was coming from the dark, scary room. I started to walk in the room, it was a little girl, she was wearing ripped clothes and brown curly hair. “ Hey, what's your name?” I asked, “ It's Annabelle” she whispered, “ Are you ok?,” I asked. “B-BEHIND-D YOU-U!!” She yelled. I could really hear what she was saying, all I could hear was “Behind”.I slowly walked back without looking behind. 

Once I got out of the room I ran as fast as I could but suddenly I tripped on a book, even though I tripped I got up and kept ongoing. I got outside and went home.

 Finally, I arrived at my destination. Straight away when I walked in the door I grabbed my phone and called 111 “Hello there is a monster at my work” I cried in fear, “There is nothing such as monsters, is this a prank call, I’m hanging up bye” He yelled with anger. 

I ran up the stairs and jumped into bed trying to go to sleep, but I could still hear the voice of the little girl calling for help. 

The next morning I woke up and went for a run. I finished my run and went home. Before I could even walk through the door there was a hideous house that lived across the street, I remembered that the house across the street wasn’t there before. An old wrinkly man has moved in.

Some days have passed and I have realized that the old man has never smiled.

I was walking home from school and I felt a bad feeling about going home. I arrived at my house. I walked into my house and the old man was on my couch, he was giving me a dead stare. I ran up the stairs and I knew that he was the man behind me when I was in the Dark terrifying room. He walked into my room with a knife and…..

3 Interesting Facts About Glow Worms

          

1. Did you know that a Glow Worm is not actually a worm, it's just a short-lived type of flying insect.

2. After the female lays 40 or 50 eggs she will die afterwards alongside the males.

3. Glow Worms do all their eating as larvae. They feed on Slugs and Snails. 

The Greedy Rat

                   Greedy Rat

He just couldn’t help himself because he had always been a greedy, fat rat.

Up until this moment, he had never been spotted by a human.

Now, that is about to change. 

It was raining and the rat didn't want to get wet so he ran into an old rusty house.

He was so hungry so he started stepping towards the fridge. He got to the fridge without a crack, he saw some nice juicy fresh apples. He put one more shiny red apple in his basket, it couldn’t fit so the whole bucket fell. Suddenly the rat could hear strong deep footsteps. 

The door started cracking while opening, the rat tried to stand like a statue but it didn’t work. An old lady with a nice orange cardigan walked in, “ARGHH THERES A RAT, THERE'S A RAT!!” screamed the old lady. 

The rat tried to give the old lady an apple but she refused it. The old lady started to stomp on the rat with her red short heels, luckily she missed.

“She’s going to kill me” cried the rat bawling his eyes out. 

“Hahaha I nearly got you, you dirty rat” Said the old lady with a big scary smile.

“Please don’t kill me I’m instant” cried the rat.

“I can't wait until I squish you and all the blood is on the ground,” laughed the old lady.

I ran under the table and accidently hit the top and SMASH!!, the computer fell. The old lady came in and took the glass outside with a big frown.

She left the door wide open so the rat ran as fast as he could.

“Yayyy I got out!”  yelled the rat with a happy smile.

The rat left the house back to his family at the beach.

2 years later……

When the Rat and his family were still living at the beach in a tiny house. A old lady moved across the street, the old lady was with an old man that was wearing a nice blue jacket and the old lady was wearing a nice orange cardigan….

“Oh no!” Cried the rat with a low voice.

Learning the names of Shapes!!

 Today our purpose was to learn about different Shapes!!👍😌

The Ghostly Shadow

 THE GHOSTLY SHADOW!!!

Pulling her scarf tightly around herself, she stepped forward into the woods, towards the place where the shadow had been.

 

Once I took another step I started breathing heavily, shivers running down my spine. I started hearing a banging noise coming from the left side of me, I stood still until the banging noise stopped, suddenly it went quiet.

 

 A black grey fog came towards me, it was getting closer but I thought it was nothing. Suddenly someone appeared. “Are you alone?” asked a quiet voice.

“Y-y- yes I- I am” I whispered.

“I’ll come out so you can see me” 

 

“Ahhhh it’s a hairy tall man that was wearing a black hat, black pants and a black jacket. “What's wrong with your face? It has bruises on it” I yelled. I turned around to run away but I went back. “ Noo go back, there here”, told the man, “Huh Who’s here?”  I asked. “No questions,” screamed the man.

 

 I started running as fast as I could, but I didn’t have much time so I hid in the big spiky bush. “Ow these are spiky” I whispered. I had a little peck. 

 

There was a lady that had ginger hair, and a yellow dotted dress. She grabbed the man and all I could hear was screaming and a big explosion. Then it went quiet.

 

I got out of the bush but the lady saw me and it was too late. I started running for my life. “Phew I lost her” I cheered. “ Oh no you didn’t”  yelled the lady. “Ahh” I screamed. “Leave me alone I’m trying to go home” Bolling my eyes out. “I don’t care,” said the lady with a ferrous voice. BANG!!! “Have a good sleep” Said the lady with a big smile. That was the end of me.

Yesterday on the 11th of August 2021, after morning tea the senior syndicate was going down to the river. Whaea AJ told us to grab out Te Awa book and pen and to put it in our bags and go line up on the nine square, Whaea De’s students came as well. We left school and off we went.

Reached our destination

We reached our destination at the Rowing club. We did a karakia to respect the River. After we did a karakia we had a korero. Once we finished our korero we got to draw what we could see and we got to write.

After that

We got up and walked across the bridge to the other side by the old meat works. We saw a floodgate and it was open. We went in our bags and grabbed our lunch. I was sitting by my Kowhai,Waiora,Manu, Armani, and Kaukau. Once we were done we got to play in the park. 

In the Afternoon

We stopped playing and we got up and crossed the road by the groynes. Once we crossed the road we sat down on one of the stop banks. The stop banks are there so if there was a flood it wouldn’t flood our precious town.

When we left

Then we stood up and off we went back to school. My legs were dead and my throat was dry. I needed a drink so badly. So I ran up the hill as fast as I could.

When we arrived back at School

We arrived at School and ‘‘did you know what I did? I went straight to the water fountain’’, and I also went back to class , grabbed my Te awa book out of my bag and put it in the box and sat down. Did you know when we got back it was 2:00 o'clock wow time goes really fast.

 Kia ora. My name is Attaliah and I'm eleven.👩 I go to one of the best Schools in the whole World and it's called Waitara East.🏫 I have three teachers and they are the best and their names are Whaea AJ, Whaea Alieen, and Whaea Kim.

 My favourite sports are Rugby, Netball, Basketball, Ki-o-rahi, and Touch.🏅 I love writing and maths, reading and spelling.
